Back in March 2006, I was impressed when the Martian rovers clocked up nearly 800 sols of activity on Mars. Little were we to know just how hardy those rovers were to be. Spirit continued working for 2623 sols, while Opportunity clocked up 5111 sols before failing. Not bad for two robots with a 90 sol design lifetime!
